Pointes North Inn is one of Charlevoix's unique condominium suites that book like a hotel room. Book for the condo's privacy, stay for the hospitality. This beautiful condo has a king-size bed with a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room. The bathroom has a 2 person jetted tub and shower. The living room area has a small kitchenette with a small fridge, coffee maker and microwave by a four-person table. Also in the living room area, is a queen-sleeper sofa couch with a comfortable chair to cozy up to the fireplace. Cable television is in the living room and bedrooms. Next to the living room, is a screened-in patio space with seating for four.

Pointes North Inn has high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the building and coin-operated laundry on the second floor. The lobby area has seating which overlooks the heated indoor/outdoor pool. The inside section of the pool is open year-round, while the outside section is closed off October to May. All this, just a stone's throw from Charlevoix the beautiful downtown.

Definitely booking again

The room was very cozy and well furnished. Something that I didn't realize from the photos was that I had access to a screened in porch, which was nice to sit in during the evening to relax and unwind.The hotel was also very conveniently. It was only a short walk to the beach and located only a couple blocks from some excellent restaurants, including the Bridge Street Tap Room. I highly recommend this hotel.

Location is perfect

Great downtown location. Street can be a little noisy at times but we throughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Will highly recommend and return when ever we are visiting Charlevoix.

Early season stay

Pointes North is always a good place to stay if you want to be in the middle of it all. It’s larger than a standard hotel room which gives you a little more of a home feel. The location is great, and you can walk to anywhere downtown from here. These are older units and individually owned, so the condition depends on which one you stay in. Overall they are starting to show their age, but it’s all about location.

Anniversary getaway.

My husband and I were there for a anniversary getaway. We enjoyed the location of the property, though was disappointed that the pool was not open and under construction, and was not told that when I booked the room. The roof leaked in the little screened-in room off the living room. And that part was not very clean. The bed was very comfortable and everything else worked OK. It was nice to have a refrigerator to store drinks and snacks in. The building is definitely showing it’s age and the ice machine was not in operation when we were there. It was nice to be able to walk to restaurants and shops there in Charlevoix. We brought our bikes and rode on one of the trails that was about 3 miles away from the condo.

In town for a wedding

I was very impressed with my recent stay at Points North Inn. This hotel is set up like an apartment style. Very nice and accommodated with all you might need and more. they even had an extra pillow and blanket for those who like to unwind on the couch before going to bed. Loved the private porch. Could use an updated TV in most recent room but overall very pleased. I will stay again.

Clean and Convenient

The room was very clean. We noticed that the place could use some updating, as there is some physical issues with the building. We’d stay here again, and recommend Points North for dog lovers as some rooms, including ours, is dog friendly.

Little getaway

We loved the location of this condo/hotel. Even though there are no water views. It was a short walk with many public areas to enjoy the lake. It was so convenient to walk to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. Being a dog lover we enjoyed how pet friendly the town was with even the shop owners having bowls of water out for all the dogs. The lake and beach area were very picturesque. Everyone in the town was friendly and welcoming to vacationers. We liked the small town feel even though there was so much to see and do. The pool was warm and perfect. The unit was very clean and comfortable. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. We would have liked an earlier check in time and more breakfast options. But would come back and loved all the conveniences.

Pleasant Unit in Excellent Location

This unit is acceptable but somewhat dated and not upgraded. The attached screened-in porch (from which you can enter and exit the unit) is a nice feature, but it's right on busy U.S. 31, so not quiet except well after dark. The toilet (in a small water closet) is very noisy when flushed, the bedroom has no windows, and the shower will scald you if not careful. Some upgrades to make the unit more modern would be worthwhile.
